Post subject: A test and a start....
So often the phrase, "I can't believe it's over already" is heard as kids get packed and cars begin arriving to take away friends old and new. The forums have been provided to extend the conversations cut short by schedules.
It's a place for young people to maintain the ties so easily strained by time and distance. While various mailing and email addresses can get covered over by life, a short "See you in Prairie States' forums!" can be easily remembered and accessed. Also, a forum allows more than the one-to-one communication of classic mail and email. Others can 'listen in' to the conversation and join in - which is the primary way friendships begin.
The forums are useful for more than camper-to-camper communications. Campers can talk with any faculty that are also registered. Maybe there were unanswered questions after a lesson or sermon, or some encouraging word wasn't shared at a campfire. The forums can extend opportunities beyond the closing times of Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
People and preachers (which are different than people?) can utilize the forums for discussions of faith and life - as well as what restaurants are preferable when visiting Ludlow(?). Again, the "sitting 'round the table"-aspect of the forums allow for more to chime in, thus opening new opportunities for friendship to start or grow.
Spread the word, and then enjoy...
